My Master's Project consists of a prototype game created in Unity. The basis for this work is that gameplay and powerup systems often do not line up with one another. For example, if you were to play an rpg and got a quest to head down into a basement to kill 20 rats with a rusty dagger, there might be any number of levelups that you get from completing the activity. You might be suddenly better at archery or magic, which have nothing to do with stabbing rats repeatedly. The system I created observes player game interactions in order to evaluate a gameplay style and thereby provide appropriate powerups for that particular method of interaction. It does this through using an adaptive leveling system and a great deal of procedurally generated content. I completed a functioning prototype for my master's degree, but now continue working on the prototype in the hopes of turning it into a more fully fledged game.
